bat inside (?) my floor what to do

i opened my window with my lights off just to look outside and a bat flew in, it didn’t touch me but eventually went into this like kind of cage thing in the floor of my room? not sure what it is, like a tiny square of the floor has metal caging over a small hole. i put a box over the hole so it can’t come out but i’m not sure how to get it out safely since it’s staying under the metal cage.
