Since I got my IUD inserted I’ve been having on and off onion-y/garlicky smelling discharge. The smell is so strong that it sticks to my clothes and even on my fingers. Even after I wash my fingers, they still smell. I haven’t been eating onions or garlic and the discharge amount isn’t increased, it’s the same amount and color as always but it smells extremely strong. It’s not the sweat, it’s the actual discharge. I’ve also been having on and off itching and swelling on my vulva. I recently got tested for all STIs including Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma (all negative), swabbed and also cultured. Everything comes back normal. I haven’t been having condomless sex. I heard of people having metallic smelling discharge but never heard of onion-y/garlicky smell. I don’t know what to do and I’m embarrassed of having sex.
