I bought this beautiful kettle for $1 today at an estate sale to add to my collection!

It seems to be missing the knob? The little metal piece at the top doesn't seem like it fell out of anything and goes up and down. Maybe the knob broke off.
This is my first marked piece made in the US.. I'm so excited to find this subreddit!
