i use caned tomato paste. it takes a maximum of three minutes for me to scoop the remaining paste out into a ziploc baggie, flatten & section it, and throw it in the freezer. whenever i need tomato paste i just break off a perfect piece. it works out for me regarding the cost. i buy most things in bulk.
