I'm planning a remodel of my kitchen and because of the layout I would need to replace my range and probably get a cooktop and wall oven. Since we're doing the remodel on an low budget It occurred to me that a decent induction burner and combi-oven could have a ton of potential advantages:
- It could save me a lot of money.
- Possibly increase my cooking quality.
- It would be way more flexible since I could move the cooktop and oven around to where I'm cooking (Including during the remodel). I think it would even allow me to use a mobile Island since I don't have to worry about anything built-in.
Are there any potential downsides to this plan that I'm not foreseeing? The two that stand out to me are resale value and bulk cooking. Am I missing anything?
Edit: The point of the plan would be to remodel sooner because my kitchen is really hard to work in at the moment. I would absolutely still install a built-in cooktop and wall oven in the future. I'm wondering if getting rid of my current range and using the portables is an option or if I'll hate myself for it.
