Black beans!

So I find black beans tolerable as a snack, and they fit in nicely with both my high blood pressure and my diabetes. I want to liven up the taste. I'm using a thai chili sauce right now but that's not quite the right taste. Plus it's got more salt than I'd like. FYI I start with dried black beans so I don't add any salt in the cooking process.

What else might be good? Different kind of hot sauce? I feel like acid is the way to go. Maybe a vinagrette type dressing? Straight lemon? Vinegar?
