So I was lazy and bought a premade dal seasoning packet. Basically just add water, lentils, the seasoning and then boil.
The flavor is there. Super tasty. But holy shit I don't think I've ever eaten anything saltier. It's literally too salty to eat. I looked at the ingredients and there's about 15,000 mg of sodium in the packet and I was honestly a little shocked.
I don't know how anyone could eat this prepared following the directions. I don't want to waste it though. What can I do to cut the salt?
Edit: I'm a dumb ass. The package said to use 1.5 - 2 tablespoons. I dumped the whole thing in.
