Is it an acquired taste or something wrong with my procedure.

I made squid ink pasta following the same recipe as binging with babish. The wine I used was Sauvignon Blanc. He was simply amazed by the taste but I am unsure if that is how itβs supposed to taste at the end. Was I using too much heat when cooking the sauce. Use a different wine? Different seasonings to add? If anyone could help it would be very much appreciated.
