So Iโm going to be making chimichurri for the second time tonight. I was wondering if anyone had a great recipe they are willing to share or some advice. I love trying new recipes and I always try my best to get perfectly balanced flavors. Last time I made chimichurri rice and it was amazing. Iโm going to make that again tonight and my momโs going to add some to her steak as well.
Thank you. ๐
Update: Thanks for the tips!
This is the recipe I ended up throwing together:
-1 bunch parsley
-1 bunch cilantro
-12 basil leaves
-1 red chili pepper 1/2 tsp dried flakes (add 1 tsp of dried flakes if you donโt have a fresh chili or to taste)
-1 lime juice zest
-6 garlic cloves
-1 shallot
-1/2 cup olive oil
-2 tbsp red wine vinegar
-1 tsp dried oregano
-1/2 tsp sea salt
-1/4 tsp pepper
I separated the leaves from the stems, used the leaves, and threw everything in a food processor. It tasted amazing! Iโm making another batch as we speak. Mixing this with rice with some homemade salsa and a little queso fresco is to die for. ๐
