Lol this is so stupid but they wont defrost?? We had 2 probably 8oz steaks given to us from my bfs mom. They were in the freezer for 2 days i think?

Decided to make them for dinner tonight. I took them out of the freezer yesterday around 4 (23 hoursish ago) and put them in the fridge. I just decided to check and see if they were near ready since ill be making dinner soon, and they were still rock hard??? Like, frozen solid. I know my fridge isnt too cold because I did the same thing with 2 chicken breasts yesterday and they thawed perfectly. Do steaks need to defrost longer? I’m so confused. Every time i’ve defrosted something its never taken longer then a day. Is there something wrong with them or am I doing something wrong?? I know this is so stupid. I put them out on my counter in hopes they thaw more for an hour and a half which is when im making dinner. I’ll update everyone if that helped at all😂
