Does anyone else feel that using store-bought food stops them from improving their techniques?

I currently find it hard to make flour tortilla wraps, it's the rolling I find hard.
I feel that using store-bought wraps stops me from improving my rolling skills so if I want a wrap I make my own.
Does anyone feel the same?
