I can't cook, which is why I am here. But I have been getting better about following simple recipes. I keep canned shredded beef, beef broth ,potatoes, carrots and corn in the house and wondra flour in case I get snowed in , or a zombie apocalypse, I will have something to eat. I tried a beef stew. Not a traditional stew, because everything is already cooked. And it is shredded beef so you do not have chunks of beef. Can of beef broth heated in a sauce pan, added wondra flour to thicken. whisk, put in stew pot. Beef, corn, potatoes, carrots. Simmer for 10 minutes. It came out good, but it had a strong beef taste. I do not know if it was because it was stored in a can for a few years, or maybe it was the cut of beef, but my question is, is there anything I can add to overpower or neutralize the beef taste? Or something I can do to the beef before cooking to reduce the flavor? I mean, of course beef stew should taste like beef, but this was a stronger taste than a steak. And I do not think one flavor should overpower everything. But, I can't cook, so maybe I am wrong.
