I've been invited to a potluck dinner party at a friend's house and have been told to bring a vegetable. I could do veggies and dip or a green salad, but knowing what others are planning to bring, I'd like to do something a bit fancier.
What vegetable would you bring and how would you prepare it to wow the other guests and compete with someone baking a babka from scratch?
EDIT: Thank you all so much for the incredible suggestions!! I am confident I can now beat a babka. I am also assigning myself vegetables - these recipes are what I'll be bringing to many future potluck dinners. I'm excited to try them out on my own, too!
