As part of an ongoing health saga, I've managed to reverse a long standing allergy I've had to nuts (tree and ground.) I ate peanut butter out of the jar for the first time in 20 years and....yeah I see why people go nuts for the stuff.
So with this newfound freedom, what else should I try?
Keep in mind I do still have existing allergies to dairy (all dairy,) beans, and soy.
EDIT: I realize I didn't talk about how I did it and that was partially deliberate (I don't want to dispense medical advice) and partially an oversight. But a number of people have asked about it and I know how frustrating dealing with this can be so I want to give people a place to start a conversation with their doctor.
Before I talk about it, please note that I am not a doctor nor am I in any position to give anyone medical advice. This worked for me, it might seriously hurt someone else so please talk to a doctor before doing it.
I was diagnosed with dysbiosis which is basically a severe disruption of your gut bacteria. As part of that process, I had an internal medicine doctor suggest the GAPS diet in combination with probiotics. It's...not fun, it's not cheap, but it has helped me quite a bit with the dysbiosis and I've noticed it start to reverse some of my food allergy problems. I have absolutely no idea if it can help anyone else but this is what has worked for me.
EDIT EDIT: Thank you for the suggestions! I recently picked up some almond butter and....gotta say I'm not seeing the hype. I think it'll be good to integrate into other things but just out of the jar, a very solid 3/10.
