I've stopped eating fast food ever since learning to replicate them with frozen food
Post Body

Prices at McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's etc are getting worse and worse. I have a few favorite sandwiches / burgers that I just don't feel like buying anymore.

What I recently found was that many of their burgers and sandwiches aren't that difficult to replicate. My favorite at McDonald's is the filet o fish, so I simply bought Walmart brand tartar sauce ($2) and frozen fish burger pieces ($7 for around 9 pieces). I also like their McMuffins so I bought Walmart brand frozen pork patties ($7.3 for 15 pieces).

As for burgers with beef, I use frozen beef patties.

Just put the patties in the oven, should take around 25 mins, and prepare the buns, sauce and vegetables in the meantime.

I think all of this fits the spirit of FAST food to some degree since there's so little effort involved - just put them in the oven. Excluding pre-heating time, by the time I finish making them it would take roughly the same time to drive to the drive-thru or order door dash. And it tastes pretty close to the original. There are some concessions to be made, like complex sauce ingredients (in the case of big mac), but those things are tolerable.
