hey everyone, i’ve been trying to bake chocolate chip cookies, but they never turn out right. they either spread too much or end up way too sugary. i’m following a pretty standard recipe, but something must be off. here’s the recipe i’m using:
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 large eggs
• 2 cups chocolate chips
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
i’m measuring everything carefully, but my cookies just end up flat and sugary. could it be the type of butter i’m using or maybe the sugar ratio? i’ve also tried chilling the dough for a bit, but it doesn’t seem to help much.
if anyone has tips or suggestions on what might be going wrong, i’d really appreciate it! thanks!
