I just started playing. Why can't I name my kingdom?

I keep on changing it and whenever I try to enter it, there's always the 'already in use' pop up. Is naming my kingdom like creating my own username or something?
Not gonna lie, I haven't even started and I already want to quit because of how annoyed I am.
