I wasn't going to make a post about this but I had a couple things on my mind I can't share it with anybody other than the people here. So mods, please bear with me and let me know if this should be differently tagged.
First, of all the subs I follow, this one is the most consistently genuine one. People here know what it's all about and there's no to very few scams. I at least haven't come across any. The mods are doing a fantastic job! In addition there are few regulars who make it fun for everyone. Thanks! All the other people like me who might not participate that frequently do notice you and appreciate you.
Secondly, as a human, I'm bound to make mistakes. I'm not perfect. About a month ago, I had an interaction with a semi-regular here where I misread a couple things. I stopped it as soon as I realized. I apologize to that person. I just want you to know it left a really bad taste in my mouth.
If you have interacted with me before and had a good time, you are awesome to have a kink like this and still be a strong woman IRL that doesn't take shit from anyone. Never let anybody tell you any different. Something that I like to say a lot is that a dom is a reflection of his sub. It's usually in context of play but it is a fact. Doms control the scene, yes but it is the subs who decide the energy. Never forget that regardless of how "helpless" you were in the scene, the dom is able to control you only because you allowed them to.
Thirdly, if you frequent the sub, you might have noticed that I'm Indian. India is very sexually repressed and conservative. Even vanilla sex is very taboo. Of course, I've met fellow Indians here but not proportional to how many of us exist. Indians recently got access to cheap internet so when you couple anonymity with the constant hammering that "sex is bad" and you're bound to come across bad actors. Why do I say all of this? Because of 2 reasons
The first reason being, Indian men get a bad rep. It's not unfounded too but believe me, it infuriates me to come across an article as it does a lot of other Indian men. I do believe the onus is on us to prove to you that one is different but just give one a chance. Statistically speaking even if a small percentage of a large population is good, it's still a pretty large number of people.
The second reason being, I've run into Indians on reddit but not as frequently as you might expect. This is attributable to the conservative environment in India and is exactly the reason why subs like this one and others who ensure that the subs feel safe are so important. It's necessary to let curious subs, Indian subs, to know that it's perfectly fine to have things that turn them on and that it's definitely not "weird" or "bad" to have them.
PS: Would people like the aftercare flair to be pink? I noticed it's pink in r/fuckingFascists. The audience here and there seems to have an overlap and it might be good to have some implicit standard across subreddits where aftercare is a regular thing to do.
