Good day everyone, so I noticed a few websites that I try to visit give the error:
ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR
The afformentioned websites are the following:
I have tried looking at other posts in regard to this issue and it seems like others have been experiencing the same thing with no solution. From what I can gather, it could be an issue with the public IPv4 address starting octet 136.xxx and/or perhaps an issue with the DNS server. I checked my IPv4 address and sadly it is 136.xxx. If I am not mistaken most of the suggestions have been to change the IPv4 address by resetting the modem until you get the correct one. Another suggestion was to change the DNS server on the modem from the default of converge to a public one. Apologies for my lack of knowledge on this part and perhaps I may be doing something incorrectly but I cant seem to change it. I typed in the coverge router login, entered the super admin credentials, proceeded to the status tab, clicked the WAN Info sub tab, then looked at the Primary DNS which is 161.49.49.49 and Secondary DNS which is 161.49.48.48 under IPv4 WAN Info. After reviewing every tab and sub tab in hopes of changing the primary and secondary DNS server I ended up on the Network tab, sub tab LAN in where I found IPv4 Configuration. In the IPv4 Configuration section there is an option to "Enable Manual DNS" so I clicked it and it gave me an option to input a primary and secondary DNS server and I did. I entered 1.1.1.1 as the primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary then clicked saved. However, upon going back to the status tab, sub tab WAN Info, the DNS still remains unchanged. Now I realize that I may have not done things correctly (pardon my stupidity). I have also tried looking at youtube for tutorials as to how to do this but the tutorials on youtube show a different modem model therefore the GUI is different. The particular modem I have is the SKYWORTH GN2566V. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and I appreciate any help in regards to this matter. 😊
