It's okay to stop talking to someone because of who they voted for. I stopped talking to my best friend because he voted for Trump. At first, I didn’t care, but then I realized he supported someone who actively works to strip away my rights as a human being. As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I’ve witnessed Trump’s actions that harm people like me from the very start. On top of that, the way he treats immigrants reminds me of the horrific tactics used by oppressive regimes in the past, like Hitler's. I can’t continue a friendship with someone who supports such values.
It's equally okay to lie about your politics which I think people should do more of because goddamn if you ask you don't deserve to know.
