Finishing up a full home renovation. All new HVAC, Plumbing, & electrical to meet code. When I initially quoted the plumbing work I was very clear that it would be complete rough in & trim out. The plumbers knew we couldnāt use old piping. the home is pier & beam. Should be pretty straightforward. After multiple trips out to redo shotty work it was finally time to tie into city waste lines & pressure test. Once tasked with tying into city waste lines a multitude of new problems arrises. For one they ādidnāt quote running waste lines to city tie inā. Seems like a given for complete rough in quoted work. On top of the increase of labor cost, when they came out to tie in they DESTROYED my driveway / sidewalk. Scalped the yard, left old piping sticking out the dirt, & crumbled my concrete. Next call I get is them asking for payment. I said that couldnāt happen until the issues were resolved. They took great offense to that & immediately started acting petty. Calling & texting cursing at me, threatening to āpull my permitā if they donāt get paid. What are my options??
Plumbing goes to 5ft outside the footprint of the building/ structure. Itās utilities after that 5ft. All this should have been discussed and documented. The quote looks like they are doing the plumbing not utilities
