So I am redoing a 1920 screen enclosed porch. I am having to remove the old lead based paint. Iv never dealt with lead paint but incorrectly assumed that because it was peeling it would be easier to remove. I was so so wrong. I took all the proper PPE measures and educated myself but when I gave the original estimate I underestimated the amount of labor involved. Also I do this on the side so one of the factors in my pricing is how long it will take me. Also this customer is a friend. Let me break it down. They are aware that the price is going to change.
400SF So far Iv got about 15 hrs in and am getting close to having all the old paint removed. I got about 10 more hours to go and then I’ll calk and spray.
I will also be re screening the porch
How should I charge?
