Post Body

So this morning 4/15/21 I woke up and received email 4/14/21 11:41pm from Amx {[email protected]} with the title above. It basically says my card was removed from google pay and I am not able to use it from google pay, but if my card was not cancelled feel free to add it back.

It didn't mention there was a fraud activity at all.

I immediately contacted Amx via chat and they said it's google pay's issue. And they copy paste how to add back to my card to google pay and have me contact google pay.

I was like"Alright let me contact them to see what they have to say."

Google pay said: "Trust me I am sure it's bank's issue when they are trying to update the virtual card. You should contact the bank via xxx-xxx-xxxx AMX number to let them know it's their issue. You can also inform the bank that google pay received a lot of phone calls with AMX users this morning with same issue." The Google pay customer representative stayed online while I was trying to call AMX.

Finally AMX picked up the phone, they still think it's google pay's issue, and when they tried again to brush me off to contact google pay. I got a little frustrated and said: "You are the second representative that I have spoke to this morning. I honestly don't know whose fault is it. I just know that somebody tried to hack into the system and removed my AMX card. I use this card everyday and I didn't authorize anybody to remove it from any services."

The AMX acknowledged my concern and put me on-hold to investigate.

After waiting for a while, AMX said "Ms.xxx the reason why we removed your card it's because there might be a fraud activity."

And then I replied: "But it doesn't make any sense. You didn't mention that in the email that you sent me yesterday. It feels like somebody hacked into your system and decided to remove my card and your system detected it but sent me an email says it got removed. I really think you guys should investigate this a little further."

The AMX acknowledged and said that they will report the case and in the meanwhile my account looks okay to add the card back to google pay service.

So. I am confused. LOL Anybody encountered this before? AMX and Google Pay they just don't know whose fault is it and try to push the issues to the other side. I am disappointed since I have been using both services for years.

Please let me know if you had the same issues before and how did it end up? Thank you!

PS: Apparently the issue I want to address here it's not only google pay's problem but both platforms. I will try to pose one under AMX forum.
