Big news! I was checking out at Dollar General and this register had the new Lane/7000 card readers and big surprise... the contactless indicator lit up when the cashier hit the credit button. I tried tapping my card and it worked! The other register was closed and that one had the old card readers (the same ones Best Buy uses), so not sure if they enabled it on those too. I wanted to take a pic but there was a long line and didn’t want to hold it up. Just wanted to let everyone know to check the next time they are at their Dollar General, could be a staggered rollout like it was at Dollar Tree.
