Switching from White Collar to Blue Collar.
Post Body

Who here has transitioned from working in an office to a Construction trade and why?

I have made the Switch because I just wasn't getting anywhere with my degree in Public Relations. The office jobs I did have were boring and monotonous. I could never keep them for long.

I've recently become an Electrical Helper with my Wiring Certificate and I honestly like doing this more than office jobs. I mean sure I'm starting to get hand cramps twisting ceiling wire but it's better than sitting on my ass all day. I remember one office job I got paid $16 to basically sit on my ass and pretend like I'm working because they didn't have enough work. I mentally could've do it. I got fired. Luckily it only took me 5 years after college to figure this out. I feel like I'm doing something productive now.
