Customer said the previous contractor only face nailed the perimiter and the rest was floating, and it seemed so. I start tearing it up and here is the sh*t i find... 3/4 in prefinished oak nailed over felty underlayment with an 18g nail gun. None of the nails actually hit the subfloor but instead curled over. Now to the next 3 hours cutting the nails from the back. Oh yeah, customer wants to reuse the planks...
Damn that sucks... Make sure to charge enough for your time.
