Need to cut a long strip footing in my basement for an eventual load bearing wall. Should I pay someone, or do it myself?

Post Body

Doing a big home reno, I’m fairly confident in my abilities, but this is an important one to get right and I admit I’ve never cut concrete before. Is it as straightforward as I expect it to be (I just expect it to be a lot of messy hardwork which doesn’t bother me). One guy quoted me 5,500 for cutting and clearing out the concrete. Seemed higher than I expected. I would have to rent tools. Any advice is appreciated
