About 3 years ago, I started to have constipation and went to the doctor. He offered some medicine which had Prune, senna and more herbs in it, which sort of helped.
Last year, the constipation came back and I strained so hard that an anal fissure occurred (it was beyond painful) and I spent the next months using so many creams and psyllium husk powder.
My health went back to normal - the fissure healed and I had normal and easy bowel movements everyday, sometimes even twice a day!
However, about 2 weeks ago I had food poisoning and then my bowel movements spiralled. The constipation came back, and I felt this slight bulge and stiffness on the left side of my belly button, which went down to my lower abdomen.
I’m back on the psyllium husk powder and I feel like my body is working. However, the stool reaches close to the exit (about half an index finger away from the exit) and just stops.
I can sit there for an hour and it won’t come out, unless I strain too hard and only then it won’t come out completely. I feel like my stool is big and it comes out sort of aiming in the wrong direction, as in the tip of the stool is not aiming for the exit, but rather just above the exit so it presses against the top of my exit rather than coming straight out.
It frustrated me to the point I strained hard and found some spots of blood on the tissue. The blood comes from a small hemorrhoid towards the rear of the exit and it’s almost outside.
As for my diet, breakfast is a glass of warm water first and then pita bread with either butter or peanut butter with a glass of tea
Lunch is usually rice and chicken.
Dinner is either soup or Hummus.
I drink about 1L of water a day and occasionally (3-4 days week) go for a walk as it’s rather hot these days
I would really appreciate the help as it’s ruining my life and mood.
