Surgery After Care

Post Body

I broke my ankle a little over a year ago and had to get reconstructive surgery, complete with hardware. Eventually the screws started to cause a lot of pain but I was afraid to get the removal surgery. I didn’t want the scar to get bigger, and I’m scared of being put under anesthesia.

This month I finally got the guts and decided to tell the doctor do the removal procedure. The surgery was quicker and less painful than the first one, and they cosmetically improved the incision scar!! I’m doing a good job with my healing, keeping it covered, moderating my physical activity, and staying positive/patient.

I’m pretty solo irl and this was a huge win for me to get back on track with my life so if anyone wants to congratulate me it would make me feel so loved and cared for. :)
