If you’re like me and have horrible tinnitus from your concussion and have to have background noise on to distract you from it, I just found an amazing website!
Music, movies, and radio are great for during the day, but sometimes at night even my white noise machine doesn’t cut it. This is a live feed from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute of a hydrophone (underwater mic) that’s several hundred meters under water, and you can tune in to listen to whales or other marine life. It sounds like very loud white noise but in the white noise you can sometimes hear the whales or whatever else is going on. I put this on and was lucky enough to catch the vocalizations of some whales, and it immediately distracted me from my tinnitus. I can easily see myself falling asleep to this, since it sounds like normal white noise but with occasional surprises.
