Post Body

Ok well Friday was a wide open day. Little me and one helpful friend. 5 yards and I’m not happy with the outcome. It was cold on Friday, like 32 degrees at 7am but did warm up to low 50s. Concreter truck was empty at 10:00 and I had everything screeded, edges done, and mag floated. Wife had to have a smooth finish but I don’t think concrete ever set up well enough. It was still creamy at 8:00 last night so I smoothed it best I could. IMO I think it wasn’t dry enough and I should have broom finished it, but happy wife means happy BJs, I think. Anyways I’m not happy with it, cut my joints today and it was kinda crumbling around the cut line. I think it’s from the creamy top layer and I worried it will blister in heavy rain and with time. Opinions and possible options are welcome. My ideas are bust it up to do again (not going to happen), find and rent a resurface machine, quickcrete re-cap. Really just irritating. Thanks in Advance and don’t beat me up too bad on the job. Not a concrete contractor
