First Time Pour : Need surfacing advice

Post Body

This was my first time pouring concrete slab. I have done fence post, but never a full slab. I tried to do a broom finish, but it seems more rough. I used 80 pound QuickCrete bags, and mixed by hand. When I put the broom across the slab it pulled larger aggregate up. Did I do the surfacing too early?

Comments

If there's a knob around, grab that and polish it. Fit it to a rotary of course otherwise itll knock up even more of the buggers
