Okay so this is me talking to a friend about how Conan gray changed over the years. I know people change but this seems a lot. Like he doesnā€™t feel like himself anymore if that makes sense šŸ˜­ also the new song I showed was killing me and old one was Greek god. I showed two songs he made while being in a label to make it more even. Idk if it just me but everything seems really forced. I just hope heā€™s happy at least.

yeah i agree actually, i work in the industry and what you realize really quickly is that artists are molded to a ā€œbrandā€ or aesthetic that labels and management think will sell the best - now thatā€™s not to say he doesnā€™t get any creative freedom, and this change in direction is likely something he wanted. overall it makes sense that heā€™s changed so much given heā€™s grown as a person but i do think the shift is partially due to them finding what niche and look he sells best in
