OW3 has been out for a couple months, after being announced just last decade.

Teams are now only allowed one support, and the tank role has been done away with entirely, with all the tanks moved to the damage role.

In order to ensure FUN, orisa sigma cassidy bap brig has been made the official meta of OW3 (bap was moved to dps), which you queue for separately in comp.

cassidy can be swapped out for other long range/hitscan dps like hanzo, widow, ashe, etc., however picking them will result in a SR penalty

blizzard's definition of "gameplay sabotage" has officially been expanded to include picking any other character than those aforementioned.

doomfist has simply been deleted from the game

havana, junkertown, and 2cp maps are the only maps enabled in comp

One night you hop on to play comp with your friends, (or at least you think you're gonna play with your friends, as seeing nametags and grouping up have been completely removed to help combat toxicity.)

Fortunately, you are able to get a game after only 2 hours of queuing for brig, in which time you were practicing your whipshot aim in a couple of the 100s of FFA maps blizzard has released for OW3.

You are happy to see the map you get is Workshop Expanse (it was reworked into a 2cp map as part of their push for longer range play and less cover), since, as one of the few remaining support players, you recognize that your only purpose is to heal and that flanking or any strategy other than shooting the enemy frontline is unfair.

The game progresses, and you are initially quite frustrated as your sigma doesn't seem to realize that one of his abilities is a 2000 hp shield (you are masters rank btw). You try your hardest to communicate this to him, however blizzard has also removed audio and text chat to reduce toxicity, as well as crouching and most emotes due to copyright issues (epic/fortnite now owns the IP rights to all forms of dancing).

Eventually, you are able to help them figure how to play by speaking to them in a morse code made up of "Hello" voicelines. After which, you and your team are able to come back into the game through your well-aimed repair packs and your cassidy's clutch flash-fan plays.

Finally, as you are just about to win the game, you are disconnected and a notification pops up: Every OW player is being gifted 10 lootboxes in celebration of Geoff Goodman finally reaching silver rank in comp.
