The twitch numbers are pretty misleading with the patches dropping at different times of the month. The past week (aka since the new patch) Apex has had an average 42k viewers. Not to mention that of course the bump is going to be less because unlike previous seasons, people didn’t leave in droves over the course of season 5, so fewer players can come back because they didn’t leave. The viewership numbers are highly encouraging and the game seems to be growing for the first time since launch, even if the pro scene might be the worst it’s ever been

My second point is that if you look at the viewership numbers, season 5 didn’t bleed viewers like other seasons did following launch. The sustained numbers from season 5 are the biggest apex has had since April 2019. The new people it brought in actually stayed, and so it’s safe to say the game has been growing over the past 3 months
