I've been in the plat/diamond rank for most of the season and it's been like this for i would say at least half the games i make it to ring 3. It's so good. I felt like i was taking crazy pills with everyone complaining about the system.
Sure ratting is annoying but pros literally do it all the time. I get why pros don't like it bc they don't get rewarded as much for W-keying diamond players but idk for me i've been a fan of the system.
the biggest thing wrong with it for me was the hidden mmr that was putting me in diamond lobbies when i was bronze/silver and it made getting up to my actual rank a pain. i really liked the trials, it made getting a win in that situation feel 10x more impactful than one outside of that
As they should be. Weaker legends get better perks and the strong legends get minor ones. makes sense to me.
same, but that was after climbing out of bronze/silver while fighting against diamond players. since i've got to diamond games have been much more enjoyable
What? I'm surprised to see anyone complaining about this change. The matchmaking was trash with hidden MMR and it's going to be based on your actual rank.
Your analogy actually doesn't work, what we have now would be if Chess decided to give you bonus Elo based on how many times you checked your opponent or forced them into a fork vs winning.
If anything this is closer to ELO ranking than hidden MMR
Level requirement changing from 50 back to 20 kind of sucks. Solo queue out of low ranks is going to be horrible again, especially with 20 RP/tier entry
Meh, if you're decent bc of supposedly no more mmr it should be easy to climb out of bronze and silver compared to before
Like which ones? The horizon ones are terrible

It can make an absolutely massive difference in RP, and will make a huge impact in those chasing #1 pred
Say you play 8 games and you get top 5 every game
Now say you play 8 games and you get top 5 every game expect games 3 and 6
That's a difference of 190 bonus points through 8 games which is nearly two free wins. That's like 40 minutes saved for those grinding #1 pred. Multiply throughout those 20 hour seshes and it's exponential. In a way it rewards you for being locked in and not just braindead pushing everything
