I'm kinda scared that CoH 3 will end up like Dawn of War 3

So I used to be a pretty big fan of relics works.
After DoW 3 I'm pretty scared what will happen to CoH 3...
They just abandoned the game after a few months and never talked about it again.
When DoW 3 first was announced they had flashy comic graphics, just like some people say about the new CoH 3 updates. The gameplay was completely butchered into what seemed to be a desperate try to get LoL and Dota Fans to play the game.

So maybe some of you can take some of my fear away? Is there hope for CoH 3? And btw did they ever try to at least apologize for DoW 3?
