Just want to thank everyone here and the various forums.

For 1001 I used messer notes and YouTube videos and supplemented with Jason Dion Prep course and prep test bundle on Udemy.

Did the same for 1002 but I also got Myers 1002 cause it was on sale.

Method of study was watch all messer videos filling in notes on his sheet with extra tidbits. Any memorization I used digital flash cards and just plane ole writing it out over and over (ports, commands various windows tools)

I would take a practice test every few days to hone in on week spots and would use google and any explanations on those things I can find.

Experience level is retail technology (Best Buy) I was in geek squad for a while but not as a tech a manager. I know my way around computer and just enough to get myself in trouble or enough to identify the problem but maybe not remediate it (that has since changed)

Plans are to go into help desk (currently in retail management) to get experience and am thinking cloud or cyber security. Really want to specialize in something but want to get my chops up so I’m not an anchor on a team.

My life is hectic. Currently, kicking some old addictions and coming to terms with coping with things in healthy non destructive ways. I’m 35 and starts studying in October of 2021. If I can stick it out and do it you can to.

Don’t beat yourself up if it’s not coming as quickly. YOU ARE LEARNING A WHOLE NEW SUBJECT. Stay consistent and stay hungry for the knowledge. There is no fast track as much as you may read stories in here. I chose A when everyone I know jumped straight to sec (I live in NoVa so it’s Government jobs galore) because reading in here how experienced techs are being overrun by people who get on cert and can’t even find the command line. Not the type of tech I’m trying to be. Happy studying everyone and thanks again. Onto the next one!
