Security 501 Need Advice

Guys, I’m struggling so much with security, let me re-phrase, I’m suffering actually. I made A and N within a month but I find Security “painfully” boring. I’m no joking, sometimes for a chapter I’m about 4 hours and when I finish I just drop the book.
Any advice? Should I kick the book and go straight to Mike and Messer? Thanks
