Good evening from Texas(luckily not areas affected by Hurricane Beryl). I currently work as a lowly parts consultant at a dealership, and I recently found myself feeling like im underpaid for what I do as well as not fully utilized. My brother in law works this field and I feel would be a brick wall to try and talk to for advice (considering the last msg i sent him was 1 month ago and he never even opened it) and I find myself wondering what ifs on if I were also working the field like him. The only advice he has given me was to get certs as they talk better than a college degree, and to focus on A and Network first (from what ive seen security is a whole different ball park). I know of Professor Messer as he is who my BIL suggested, ive started the playlist for A a few times but life got in the way and I stopped each time. I suppose the opinion im looking for is what yall would do, I know itll be alot of work and the tests will be a whole other game but I wanted opinions.
If this post is against the rules I understand, just needed a outlet to dump some thoughts and worries.
