That end of show feeling…

Just finished a show with a fantastic cast and crew. I had no intention of being in the show, in fact I had directed a show that closed just three weeks prior. I felt obligated because we can’t do shows if people don’t participate. Now that the set is struck and the cast party is over, however, I know I’ll miss it. That, I think, is the beautiful curse of what we do. It’s overcoming an insurmountable challenge in the moment; grieving a loss when it’s over.
