For those of you in the NYC/NJ area, Irvine Spa here in Orange County California has a very similar set up. You walk in to pay and men go through the right doors and women to the left. You're given a key which opens a small locker to deposit your shoes before entering the locker room. They have a whole barber station to get a haircut, tv room, sleeping room and of course the lockers.
In the wet area you have open showers to the left and right and piles of crisp white new towels to use. They have a large Hot pool, a Warm pool, and a cold pool...each could easily hold 20 guys. The steam room was perfect and what was cool about it was that they had nozzles on the ceiling that misted cool water. The dry sauna was incredibly hot where I could usually take it but only lasted 5 minutes.
The food court had what seemed like hundreds of dishes.
Met a couple there with one guy celebrating his birthday which was cool. Normal down to earth guys. Since i'm out here for a few days, tomorrow I'm going to check out another spa called Pioneer Spa.
I'm open to hear everyone's thoughts on Pioneer Spa before i go check it out.
