This subreddit is incredibly bipolar
Post Body

Disclaimer: I don't mean that to be offensive to anyone who actually has a bipolar disorder. By bipolar I mean 'oscillating between two poles', not the mental health condition.

This sub is so back-and forth. We get way to excited about potentially good players and then turn on them the moment they make a mistake. Maybe it made sense with Chase Young -- we had high expectations for him and he hasn't been performing as well as we expected.

But now we're doing the same with Heinicke. He had a great game last season and we went crazy. I was at the stadium when Fitz got hurt and he wasn't even on the stretcher by the time the "HEINICKE! HEINICKE!" chant started. And look, I'm a huge fan of the guy too. But if we're gonna go balls-to-the-wall for an underdog QB, we have to realize he's an underdog. He's going to have bad games, and he's going to throw picks.

Now, it seems like everyone is turning on him. And we're doing the same thing with Hopkins, who has been a cornerstone on our offense for years.

Can we please just chill out? Stop overhyping players, and stop sending the mob after them when they have a few bad games.
