Post Body

I’m a longtime customer. My family stupidly watches a lot of tv and has a lot of cable boxes. Still, I was able to lower the bill to around $275/month in or around 2019 or 2020, maybe later via a promotion. Last year wo warning the monthly bill jumped $100 to around $380. Now all of a sudden it has jumped another $40, to $420.

I ask to speak to customer retention department and the agent always lies and says I’m speaking to it. They treat me like I’m poverty stricken and have even said I was on fixed income (not true) because I think it’s wrong that they have increased it 54% for no reason. They have no promotions. No one wants to help. There are no native English speakers.

What has happened to comcast? It’s atrocious. $420 from $275 a few years ago. Absurd. No loyalty for longtime customers. No alternatives. What are people supposed to do? My idiot family has a lot of boxes on a lot of TVs but even cutting some of them doesn’t help. And Comcast has started to send me new bixes out of the blue and charge me for them. I didnt ask for them yet I get charged. And finally my dad is disabled. If he could figure out how to use a Roku or apple tv I’d signs us up for our fav channels via streaming and ditch Comcast but he would never be able to figure it out. How did they break Comcast so thoroughly? What a joke. What am I supposed to do? $420 a month on cable and no one at Comcast in customer retention will speak to me.
