My xfinity went down for about 15 minutes a few days ago for maintenance, now this annoying advanced security thing is blocking websites that were not blocked before and making my entire internet connection drop for a few seconds when trying to access said sites.
When I use a VPN I can access the sites just fine, they are being blocked by xFi advanced security. I have my own modem and do not have xFi installed, looks like advanced security is now enabled by default even without it installed. I tried downloading the godawful app to disable advanced security but it looks like I need to install it on my modem before I can shut it off. Is there any other way to disable this invasive Advanced Security without having to install some privacy violating software on my router?
Any help would be appreciated.
