I’ll try to sum it up very briefly, we used to use our own modem/router for a 600 plan. We were getting the speeds we were paying for and all was good. Now, we upgraded to the 1200 plan along with getting the xfi gateway. Ever since we got it, it’s been only problems. The speed test through ookla and xfinity site say the same thing. Sometimes it’s running at 10 mbps and sometimes it’s at 700. More often so it’s below 100. It should be noted that the upload speed is at a consistent 45mbps which is the right number. When taking the test, sometimes midway through it’ll be a 50 and skyrocket to 900 but then return to a lower number a few minutes later. The tests were performed both on wifi and on Ethernet devices. Things we have tried are replacing the xfi gateway for another, restarting the gateway and almost basic troubleshooting. Even chatting with support has been no help as I’ve talked to around 5 agents that couldn’t communicate soundly. I’m truly at a loss because now that I’m paying more I’m getting slower speeds.
