Greetings, Reddit!
I'm at a point in my life where I need to save money as much as I can due to job loss and I've been in contact with Comcast about what I can do to lower my bill. I've tried bill negotiations and it didn't work, so it looks like I have to downgrade my speed for any significant savings.
I currently have Blast cable. Getting rid of the cable will save me $15/month which helps, but I would like to see what else I can do and just do this in one phone call so I don't have to suffer more than I have to. I have a Live Chat ID number ready to give to Customer Solutions so I can get the price I was quoted.
I'm currently living in a 2-person household and I'm the person that places more of the demand on the service. My roommate only streams YouTube/Hulu/Netflix whereas I stream using the same services/Twitch and also online game via Dead by Daylight or Overwatch. I was thinking I could downgrade to 50mbps without seeing much of a hiccup, but I'm curious if I could go lower or am I correct in thinking 50mbps is perfectly fine.
Thanks for the feedback.
