So I call up Xfinity to see when my area will maybe get updated for the 10g network. First guy who I spoke with told me that it’s available now but I need to upgrade my modem from xb7 to xb8. That was the first lie, second I would learn after it arrived. I get the new modem and my gut feeling was that I was lied to by him. So I call up Xfinity and speak to another agent who tells me that there is no upload upgrade with the 10g network (lie one from this guy proving that the other agent lied too!) , then he goes to tell me that the whole 10g network upgrade is fully complete Nationwide(another lie) and that the only way I can get a upload speed upgrade is by getting Gigabit X2(which would mean that I would have to convert my bulk account since my apartment provides me with included basic cable with one box so I’d have to start paying for something I get include already) but I was like hell no I won’t do that. Knew he was lying to me. So I get off the phone cause I have to go to work(I work from home doing technical support for a local Chicago internet service provider that I so wish was available in my building but maybe some day when the owner finally decides to respond to my employers offer. Later I found out that supposedly it will be middle of June or July before I can get it but I’m not holding my breath. Ugh! 😤
