I know everyone is sensitive about taxes being raised but it is desperately needed. The families and children that you are neighbors with are worth it. Only focusing on your specific tax rate isn’t in the best interest of the community. Put yourself in the shoes of others. Also, understand that you have experienced a large amount of property appreciation over the years and the effective tax raise won’t come close to matching or negating that. If the issue does not pass your property will depreciate and you will be worse off than if it passes and taxes are raised. Honestly, if you feel that the community and the children that live here are not a concern of yours then I hope you are able to find a less family-centric community that this will not be an issue in the future for you.
