Yesterday I met a really cool dude on Reddit who is backpack bike riding through a couple states. He was just looking for a safe place to put his tent for the night and although people were quick to give advice it didn’t look like any of those ideas we’re gonna work out for him either they were full for the day or too far out of the way.
In my younger and crazier days, I had some times where I didn’t have a safe place to sleep so I understand how stressful it can be just looking for a place to rest So I offered him a place to stay for the night because I have a spare futon and I’m alone here on the weekends. Just me and my dog
Well, it turns out he was a really cool dude and we had a great conversation late into the night which is something I really needed as I’ve been dealing with so much depression and anxiety lately that it was really nice to just sit and chat with another human.
I guess the point I’m trying to make an all of this is sure there’s a lot of bad out in the world, but there’s a lot of good people too and you won’t find the good ones unless you have a little trust in the world.
Stay classy Columbus 😁
